Don Quijote en el Laberinto de la Soledad, no. 13

Taking a break from being whacked like a banjo.

It’s only rock and roll, but I like it.

Chances are good that I’ll never record a satisfactory performance of this semi-improvised partial composition. Likely, too, is that I’ll keep trying. That’s what knuckleheads do. Some eventual recording will serve as soundtrack of a video project developing in parallel. This version goes up as an audio stage along the way, a fumble-fingered point of comparison for future efforts. One remark I’ll offer is that it could have used a little more delay and a lot more reverb. Music for Irish bouzouki and effects pedal by Robert Stikmanz.

  1. Sitting in the back yard as I listen. Sky is gray, the temperature cool, and there’s the barest hint of fog. Perfect soundtrack for the afternoon.
